Practitioner Course - 42 weeks
The PsychoDynamic Astrology Practitioner Course is designed for aspiring or existing practitioners who would like to employ the wisdom of astrology as a basis or adjunct for their role as a counsellor.
The course draws extensively upon depth-psychology, classical astrology and myth. Students are provided with course notes, ten horoscopes, set reading and tutorial questions. Each student is required to submit answers to the tutorial questions and will receive feedback on the answers provided.
Upon completing the course the student will have both a valuable resource of reference material as well as a thorough understanding of PsychoDynamic Astrology.
The four term course explores all the major fields of astrological theory and practice, with each field being covered over a ten to twelve week period.
Term 1. Planets by Sign - 10 weeks
A planet's placement by sign of the zodiac describes a particular process of transformation. Planets by Sign introduces the 10 planetary energies plus the twelve signs of the zodiac. Each week one planet is explored in depth including its placement throughout each sign of the zodiac. In this way the student learns to understand the archetypal dynamics at work within the horoscope and the individual.
Term 2. Planets by House - 12 weeks
The house placement of a planet defines where the above mentioned process makes itself felt within the life of the individual. Planets by House introduces the concept of the twelve houses as well as the ascendant and mid-heaven. Each week one of the ten planets is selected to be explored as it is placed throughout the twelve house.
Term 3. Planets in Aspect - 10 weeks
The planetary aspects describes the interaction of the various planetary energies. Sometimes these energies are in conflict, sometimes they are in harmony. This term explores how the planetary energies may work together or dominate one another, as well as the drama which ensues.
Term 4. Planets In Transit - 10 weeks
As one planet moves into aspect with another planet certain dynamics and events are triggered within the life of the individual. Planetary aspects form the basis of predictive astrology. In the psychodynamic school of astrology each of the planetary aspects are explored as a fate with a lesson, i.e. both the event and the meaning behind the event are explored in depth.
Fees & Charges
The full course is US$450 or $125/$150 per 10/12 week term. Included in the cost of the course is
- Course Notes
- 10 horoscopes of friends/family members (for your own research)
- Tutorial Questions and Tutor Response to answers submitted
